2007.08.18  健康住宅

猛暑が続き熱中症で多くの方が命を落とされました。

私も１３日に帰省したのですが、今までになく車が混雑して、１時間３０分ほど余計にかかってしまいました。SAで車から出ると空気のせいか?太陽光が肌に刺さるような暑さでした。

その日は、私の本家のほうにより、墓参りを済ませ、家内の実家のほうに行き、仲人宅に伺い挨拶を済ませてきましたが例年にない暑さで、「うちわ」を探す始末でした。(今までは家の中に入ると「ひんやり」としていました。)

１４日は、朝のうちに家内の実家の墓参りをし、近くに嫁いでいる妹と、川内村営の温泉に行き、のんびりとしてきました。

１５日は、田舎のお土産を車いっぱい頂き、帰京しましたが何しろ暑い一日でした。

１６日は、今年度の氏神様の例大祭の当番長に任命され、当番者の名簿、作業内容等の資料作成に追われ、ニュースを聞いてビックリ、なんと岐阜と埼玉で40.9度を記録し、７４年ぶりの新記録とのこと。

１７日は、田舎のお土産を配ったり、例大祭の資料を配ったり、カーテン交換工事の見積り依頼をして１日が終わってしまいました。

きょうは８時から神社の清掃、幟や門飾りの下準備を行い、帰宅しましたが暑くなくて助かりました。

日本の住まいと断熱材　NO2

 伝統的な日本の住まいづくりに最初の変化が訪れたのは１９４８年。都市防災を目的とした建築基準法の制定がきっかけになりました。

この建築基準法の目玉は屋根を不燃材料で葺くこと、外壁を防火構造にすること。

これによって日本の住まいは長く親しんできた屋根の断熱性と壁の通気性を失ってしまったのです。

次の変化は１９７９年に訪れました。２度にわたるオイルショックを経て住宅断熱の必要性が高まり、「省エネ法」が制定されました。この法律をもとに断熱基準がつくられ、その後住宅金融公庫の融資条件に組み込まれたことで、住宅での断熱化が普及していきました。

一方でアルミサッシやビニルクロスの普及に伴い、日本の住宅は中途半端な気密性を持つようになりました。ここに十分な結露対策がないままに断熱化したことで、「ナミダタケ事件」などの結露被害が社会問題となりました。

さらに省エネ法は湾岸戦争をきっかけに改正され、１９９２年には「新省エネ基準」が登場します。しかしこの「新省エネ基準」も、本当に健康で快適に住まいづくりを目指すには、十分とはいえない基準でした。
